My sister just got a computer, her McAfee expires in a month. I pay 40 dollars a month for my security on my computer but she doesn't want to pay like me. Any free computer security systems?

Default Microsoft Security Essentails

Bill Gates recently gave the world Microsoft Security Essentials. As difficult as it was for me to say at first, I must say..................I like it!

- It appears (to me) just as strong/effective as as any of the "popular" programs (either free or less than $100.00)

- Addresses virus AND malware....all in one package!..............nice!

- It is "real-time" protection

- Very light "foot-print" (not "in-your- face" withs ads and other annoying content)

- Very easy to use.....one almost forgets it's even there and it updates itself often

- It is geared to the "home user" It is FREE!....................(if you have legit
Windows)

- There IS one slight hook! (at least for the paranoid among us!)

Microsoft will occasionally "grab" data from your PC to critique the malware/virus's found. That sort of bugs me. There IS a ("slightly" involved) way to turn off the "grabbing" feature - which I did.

And today, I believe, MSE is one of the most widely used security solutions on the home PC front. Well done MSFT!
