Is the current build of Drive Cloner Rx compatible Rollback RX 9.1?

I guess you may need to define "compatible" .

The latest beta version works ok but it doesn't save all of the RB snapshots. That facility may not be implemented until RB V10 is available, I guess.

I don't know if it captures the MBR correctly yet. I suspect not but I was going to do some more tests to try and get a better idea of just which imaging solutions do actually get the correct MBR.....I just haven't gotten around to it yet as it takes a bit of time. But I have just bought a copy of MBRWizard, which I can thoroughly recommend, will be very useful for the task.

Graham,

Last I read, you were a Drive Snapshot user (as I am). If that's still the case, I'm wondering why you need MBRWizard?

Hi pvsurfer,

I use MBRWizard for backing up and potentially restoring the MBR and track 0 when I've imaged from within Windows with IFW. It is also a very handy winpe builder which allows you to add portable software to the boot cd making it very useful for lots of things.

Hey Graham,

Nice to have you posting again. MBRWizard seems like it would be a nice addition to my 'recovery toolbox'.

Do you prefer IFW over DS for backing up your RBRx system drive?

pv, I use both and I'm impressed that IFW does what it can do but DS is still probably my all-time favourite as it is just so versatile, tiny and reliable .

So I'll often use DS within a Rollback'ed Windows just to get a current backup. Considering the size of the program it is up there with the best of them and has never let me down.

I agree that DS' small size is a plus - but even more important (to me), what other program in this category can boast true portability?
