Default Rollback RX v8.1 Image Recovery Issue

Hello,

On my windows xp laptop, I backed up my computer via Rollback Drive Image. The image files are on my external HDD and are named "image0.ebi", "image1.ebi", "image2.ebi" etc. I now have Windows 7 on the machine without Rollback installed, but I found that I lost some critical data documents. This data is stored in those image files. Rollback 8 can't be used with windows 7.

I'm trying to restore by using the BartPE CD. For some reason, these .ebi image files aren't recognized when I try to access them to restore to. I noticed that when you try to use the "Explore Drive Image" feature, the image files it needs have the extension of ".ego". I am unable to recover now and I really need that data. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Brian

Hi Brian:

1) I moved yoyur thread, becuase your question refers to backups and the Drive Cloner forum as there mabe be a better depth in this specific area.

2) This is quite an obsolete product and no longer supported. However, may I recommend that you open a Support Ticket here: Horizon DataSys Inc. - Customer Support These Tickets are routed to our Developer Group. If there is anyone who will remember how to handle these problems, it is one of those guys.

Cheers. Keep us posted.
