Default scheduler not taking snapshots

I purchased recently Eaz-Fix and noticed that my scheduler is not running consistently. Daily snapshots are not occurring when they should. They seem to occur randomly. Are there any known issues out there? Thanks.

Jacob:

I appreciate the quick response. I think that I was able to fix it on my own. Unfortunately, I haven't receive any response from Datasys support. I don't know why.

If anyone has a similar problem, go into the scheduler and delete all the scheduled items, defrag, reboot, and then reinput the scheduled items. This seems to work. I'm still monitoring the program but things have been fine for several days.

Hope that helps.

I'm glad you were able to fix it. Thank you for the update and feedback here in the forum. If you have a ticket number, I can flag the team so they can look into it as well.

The ticket number is 4073-8333986 and I'm with Gold support. It's been a work in progress for a while. I recommend that your IT staff look into the scheduler. I'm not sure if the defragger, odd daily times in the scheduler or sleep mode interferes with the scheduler.

As a precaution, I did the following:

1. I disabled any sleep modes.
2. Set daily time snapshots to easy even numbers like 12:00, 16:00 and not 16:35.
3. I reduced the number of snapshots taken per day because the defrag process took a while at boot time.

I think the defrag might have corrupted something a while back because I got a blue screen of death in WinXP after an automatic defrag process by Eaz-Fix. I rolled back to the latest snapshot and everything has been stable since. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the details HankIT. I've flagged the team to look into it.
