Both Horizon DataSys and EAZ Solutions are sister companies that jointly develop and market RollBack Rx and EAZ FIX. RollBack Rx is marketed specifically for the commercial, educational and consumer market. EAZ FIX is the original brand that is offered to worldwide resellers and OEM distributors.

RollBack Rx can be purchased and supported directly from Horizon DataSys (www.horizondatasys.com)

EAZ FIX can be purchased from any of our resellers such as www.pcundo.com or www.eazfixsoftware.com as well as many others.

Both products are exactly the same. Both RollBack Rx and the Resellers of EAZ FIX are supported by the same technical support team at Horizon DataSys.

Hi Nick

Thanks for the explanation. I have, over the years, heard many 'explanations' of this duality so it is good to fnally have the official position.

What I find interesting is what seems to be a divergence in the products with RB Rx having 'lost' its disk imaging features in v9 whilst, from what I can see of EAZ-Fix v9 this is stil included (assuming that the screenshots on the website are thos of v9).

I am sure that there is a master plan here but what it is I am not sure and I am sure that a number of users probably are having the same thoughts.

So they are sistercompanies but using different buildnumbers for the same builds?
Horizondatasys: Download Rollback Rx 9.0 Free Trial Download - Horizon DataSys / Build: 269414196
Eazsolution: EAZ-FIX, download free trial version / Build: 2694141963

Or is Horizondatasys missing one digit?

The public release of EAZ FIX has not been updated yet. It currently still has the Drive Imaging application included; whereas we removed the Drive Cloner Rx and introduced it as a separate product. Our resellers and OEMs' will soon follow suit.

FYI. The first to be updated is RollBack Rx along with builds for all our resellers / OEM customers. Once all the OEM builds are completed we then update the build on the EAZ Solutions website.

I think you may have copied the build number incorrectly. If you go to the Horizon DataSys link above the build number is 2694141964
EAZ FIX is build 2694141963

Hi Nick

Thanks for the clarification. That explains a lot.

Cheers

I also understand that the product ID's are now interchangable, which is a welcome move and didn't use to be the case. I haven't actually tried this though! .

Could you pls provide us with something a bit more scientific? The EAZ-FIX has not been updated as yet... "Less data loss" and "few checkdisk at reboot" - could you provide us with numbers? Are you getting 1,2,3 errors with one over the other? Also, give us the build numbers of both apps that you've tested.

Thanks.
