Pvsurfer, my understanding is that both options delete all other snapshots.

I've never used either function to know for sure but I thought i read somewhere that all other snapshots are deleted in both cases. The difference being as you described, one consolidates the current system state to the baseline and the other resets to baseline losing all current data.
