Default New Rollback RX v9.1 Build 2695569418

Hmmmm.....you guys updated the release date on your website here but you forgot to update the build number from "Build: 2695536650" to "Build: 2695569418"

There's always something with you guys.

By the way, the build number change in a matter of a week is huge. Care to share the changes with us now? To much to ask for?

Anyway, when i first installed this latest build i got a BSOD during the install.

After my heart pulputations eazed off I took a picture of the error and hit the reset button with my fingers, arms, toes and body crossed. My PC rebooted and the familiar Rollback install precedure came up at boot. This appeared to succeed and windows booted as per normal. The snapshot settings window appeared as normal and i left it running for now. I wanted to investigate about what "didnt" happen. Also the Rollback icon was in the systray greyed out as expected. Looked promising.

I looked in my START menu and there was no Rollback entry. Dont panic....looked in my "Programs and features" window...again, no entry. (admitedly i felt a sweat bead running down my face now). But wait, i collected my thoughts. What about the subconsole at boot time? So i cancelled the snapshot settings window and rebooted. ( fingers, arms, toes and body crossed again ....ouch, very sore now).

So the PC rebooted, i hit "home" at the appropiate time and clicked on uninstall. Now were cooking. I chose the "Baseline Installation" not the "Current snapshot" (i thought this would be the safest and it seemed like the most sensible one to pick since Rollaback has only just been installed) and Rollback immediatley uninstalled. Booting continued and in windows the Uninstall.exe program popped up in the UAC prompt as expected. (Hooray for Horizon knowhow!). This completed and to my surprise my system was saved (if only the users of CTM can say the same thing )

I ran my usual battery of chkdsk's on all my partitions and no errors. THANK GOD (and Horizon)

I did some more crossing and reinstalled Rollback this time successfully.

I'm not convinced that Rollback was the cause of my BSOD, rather a consequence of a previous action i had performed. Before i install a new version of Rollback i run a defrag using Ultimate defrag (currently v3.0.100.19). But this time decided to do boot time defrag of the system files (a great feature). However upon reboot Ultimate defrag normally shows a message stating that a boot defrag had succeeded and window continues to boot. But this time no message was shown. Foolishly i should have done a second reboot to see if the defrag marker had been cleared. (My guess is that this is what caused the issue with Rollback). I dont think the marker was cleared because when I uninstalled Rollback to the "Baseline Snapshot", Ultimate Boot time defrag tried to run again which i promply cancelled. So its clear to me that the defrag marker was not cleared and i suspect interfered with Rollback installation.

I have all the dump files and "dat" files if Horizon want to have a look at it so please PM me if you guys want the files.

Here is a picture of the BSOD

Carfal.

I also wish HorizonData Sys would offer version update information including version numbers, dates, and change logs.
For some reason they began posting updates on Facebook pointing to their web site.
It is here Rollback Rx | Facebook
It still points back to the incorrect version you mentioned.
I just don't get it.
I have lots of free and registered software. All companies offer this information. Some even email me when a new version comes out.

Some of us (well, me anyway) don't use Twitter or Facebook. How about duplicating any relevant material on the Forum (the obvious place for it I would have thought)?
