Default any conflicts?

Hello, first post here. I'm going to try Rollback Rx but before I installed I wanted to know if there are any known conflicts with other programs? I plan on running a sandbox/HIPS program (Defensewall) along with Prevx and Avast antivirus. My firewall is OnlineArmor.

Also, I normally have a regular backup of my files to a portable hard drive with the built in Windows backup tool. Should I continue to do this or will Rollback Rx do backups?

Finally, where does Rollback Rx store the snapshots/images of my system? Can they be stored in a portable hard drive or online (such as Microsoft Live skydrive, or whatever it's called now)? Or both places?

thanks

Hi acr - welcome to the forum!

Re your first question, I'm pretty sure you won't incur any conflict between those programs and Rollback Rx, but do see carfals recent post which provides basic (and important) insight into this matter.

Re your 2nd question, that depends on which Windows Backup you're referring to. If you are referring to Windows 7 Backup-Restore, I would not recommend its use with Rollback Rx. However, as good as Rollback Rx is it's not as secure as an image-backup (on an external drive), so it is very important to complement Rollback Rx with an image-backup program used in the proper manner (see my referenced post below).

Re your 3rd question, Rollback Rx's snapshots are stored on the C-partition and are only accessible by Rollback Rx. The only way to store them on a portable hard drive is to make an image-backup using the method described here in bold print.
