Default Windows 7 Backup

I have installed Rollback on Windows 7 and I would like to use windows backup to create an image of the hard drive. Please can you tell me if I need to uninstall rollback for this to be successful?

Hi Daguerre, welcome to the forum . The resulting image would be of the current state of the system. There would be no Rollback snapshots saved and Rollback would have to be re-installed if you restored the image. But, for backing up purposes, that would probably all be fine for most people .

To be absolutely accurate, it would not be necessary to reinstall RBRx to recover a functional system from the backup. The backup would restore the Windows system in the state it was backed up, but without RBRx.

Please refer to our other discussion threads regarding how to image the complete system (fully functional including RBRx and the snapshots).

Many thanks for the rapid reply. However do I need to uninstall Rollback before using windows backup to image the disc?

.....and to be absolutely pedantic. I would expect an 'image' to be the system functionally as it was when I made the image, but I know what you mean .
