Unhappy unable to reinstall

My sub console disappeared, no icon in task bar and no amount of rollbacks brought it back. The program is not in the program list, can't find it anywhere, so i uninstalled from the boot screen. Now I can't get it to re install, it keeps bringing up a box telling me there is a version on the pc so it won't install. Any ideas? I am running a vista OS no other back ups other than drive cloner.

If you have XP installed try looking in CONTROL PANEL>ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS or if your using Vista/Window 7 look in CONTROL PANEL>PROGRAMS AND FEATURES.

That doesn't help at all. It's happened to me. I tried to reinstall after I'd just reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 Home 64-Bit. Something went horribly wrong. Rollback wasn't listed in the uninstall list. Nothing, nada. But when I'd reboot there it was. Like the original poster I uninstalled Rollback during bootup. Now when I try to reinstall Iit balks and tells me that Rolback is still installed. I've looked eveywhere I could think of, but I could find nothing. That's why I'm here right now.

Darkhours, does the "Shield" folder exist located "C:\Program Files (x86)\Shield" for W7 x64 or "C:\Program Files\Shield" for W7 x32?

If it does, then does the "uninstall.exe" file exist there. If yes, try running it from there.

Other than the above i'm afraid i dont have anymore suggestions.

There's a 'RollBack Remover.exe' file which support will probably send you that should clean things up. I had a similar problem a while ago when I ended up with a partial uninstallation and it quickly sorted it out.
