Default Rollbackrx Subconsole Problems

Greetings to all.

I'm currently trialing rollback rx 9.1 (the latest version posted on your site) and so far i'm loving the whole concept. I can't imagine how i've been working on my machine without this fine piece software.

However there are 2 issues that bothering me a lot and they are about the subconsole which loads before the OS.

When pressing the HOME button to access the subconsole, the mouse cursor is not moving no matter what and i can only use the keyboard to access the controls. I double-checked i have enabled legacy USB support for both mouse and keyboard, under bios settings.

The second and most frustrating issue i experience, is that when i restore a snapshot or when i click exit on the subconsole, or doing anything that should exit the subconsole and run the OS in general, the subconsole just stops, doing nothing. No restart or run the os. It just stops there. If i restart the machine everything works ok.

I don't really mind having no mouse when firing up rollbackrx but the console stalling and doing nothing unless i do ctrl-alt-del is an issue i would like to solve, before purchasing my license.

Any ideas? Could it be anything bios related?

Hello Arbiter and welcome to the forums.

Read the following post

Black Screen Workaround.

You may want to start from the top of the to get a better perspective. Also Lucato's second response after the Devteam's post above might be of interest to you as well.

GoodLuck

Wow. thanks a lot, Carfal! "UseStdMBR=1" certainly solved the issue! Rollback rx's subconsole now works perfectly! I can't help but to ask though: What does that command do exactly? I can see that it's MBR related but in what way does it affect the usage of the program? I did a search on this forum but i couldn't find anything, nothing in the help file as well.

By the way, this forum is a little gem. I've even learned how to take snapshots via batchfiles. I'm starting to love this program.

Lucato asked that same question but the devteam never answered. Perhaps they'll answer now.

Thanks carfal. I'll flag this for Nick and the devteam.

Default No cursor in rollback Rx console

Im also facing the same with new version of rollback(20110802v9.1) .The new verioon of rollbackrx console before booting operating system has no mouse support and sometimes hangs while rollback.
The previous version has no such issue(20110311v9.1).
