Hi Jacob
I am enjoying v91...again...but am still interested in what the position is re. v10, as if I recall from a previous question and 'semi' ofifcial answer then view was that it would be out in July 2011. As we are at that time now I thought it would be good to get an update, even if only 'semi' official, as to what the position is...given that things in RB Rx land have been the quietest that I have ever known them to be.

You're not kidding it's quiet. I scan a range of forums several times a day and (at the moment) this one is dead! I have speculated that everyone suffering problems have dead PCs and can't post their complaints!!

Hi Owl
I might look like that but I suspect that it is that RB Rx is actually doing the business...from the user end, and v10 is focussing all attention...from the Dev Team end...or at least that is what I am ferverently hoping. ![]() I personally had an issue with v9.1 which meant that I stopped using it for a month or so but eventually Support cam good, I was provided with a special build which worked fine and here I am. Thinking that I should do the periodic uninstall, defrag & reinstall...but prepared to wait a bit longer if v10 is just around the corner...hence the original query. |

Iceman, I want to thank you for the new release info. While I, personally, don't think developing a NEW LOGO is too important to the users in this group and their problems, the other newly available items are important... especially SSD and TRIM support and the license control issues (for you guys, too). BUT... we have some problems, and they may be devastating for some of our users. I installed this new release on a Windows XPsp3 computer and although I asked the installer for a CUSTOM INSTALLATION, it did not offer me the option to choose my protected partition. I didn't notice this until the installation was complete, and at that time I opened the Admin panel of Rollback and it told me it was protecting my entire disk rather than the partition it used to ask me to select during a CUSTOM install. I uninstalled and reinstalled and sure enough, although I asked for a CUSTOM install, it didn't offer me that option in the next screen and continued to install a configuration that protected my whole hard disk. This is only the first glitch noticed but I felt it was important to people who might wanna test these new capabilities. |
