Didn't have time to play with the program more until today.
Well, I contacted the support team and thumbs up to them because seemingly minutes later, I received an email with a file "Remove Rollback.exe" and was asked to contact them for additional help if I need it. Very cool to be able to actually get in touch with someone.
Not sure if the file does anything because it does not work while the console is running, so you have to uninstall the program first (I think this thing is supposed to clean up the remaining files). So after I uninstalled it (once, still keeping all the files intact), I used the .exe but it didn't clean anything. I did it again and again and everything was still there. So, as always, I had to uninstall it for the second time through the control panel.
They really have to look into this because if it happens on a fresh, new, computer with Windows 7, more and people will run into the same issue. Whether they release a patch or just fix it for version 10, it can't be ignored.
As for me, I'm not sure I will pursue it any further with support because, as I said, it actually does uninstall but the bug is forcing me to do it twice. So the program is safe to use, works great, I guess I'll just have to uninstall it twice if I need to. It's a weird one. I never had a program do this before.
As far as the notification icon, it does not get removed after a reboot. Or 3 reboots. I found this little free file that removes any obsolete notification icon. It works. It's actually based on the method recommended by Microsoft. It edits a couple lines in the registry, shuts down and restarts the explorer, and basically "resets" the notification list. I scanned it with NOD32, Malwarebytes, Kaspersky, and Dr. Web.
