Hello, ihave encountered a failure using rollback rx 9 "(bloomberg tailored) and ghost 11.0
1) i create a fresh image with ghost sourced from our emea image, pc is a hp 7800 sff ,4 gig ram , hd 80 gig, windows 7 enterprise 64 bit, latest microsoft updates, that includes rollback rx 2) i update another pc same specs booting ghost with usb external drive with this same image, ghost ends without problems saying image created successfully 3) pc is stuck at boot just after p.o.s.t with message "missing operating system" on top left corner. on another instance same issue only that instead of this message screen stays black with blinking cursor un top left corner. Starting from the beginning, if i go into control panel , program files, and remove rollback rx leaving last "face" as image then reboot then create an image with my external usb drive with bart pe and ghost, then the image created is fully operational to reimage other pcs. to remove rollback is as of now the only fix we can apply. second, t we are supplied by the company a set of dvds with the full windows 7 image and all software installed so i do not have a copy of the executable to reinstall and check if all works fine. please investigate, best regards David Steinberg Bloomberg LP Field Service/ milan/ italy |

Hello Susman. I'm not an expert on this but i believe if you read the following
"Rollback RX" and "Image For Windows"... perfect together?? it will give you some insight as to what your doing wrong. Unfortunately there is a lot to read but i think you would be interested in the discussions about selecting to image all sectors (used and unused) and also about including the MBR in the image. Sorry for the lack of info but Froggie's the expert in this matter as you'll see from the thread above. |
