Today at boot (just after or just before Rx attempted to take its boot snap - no snap was taken) I received a message that read
"Unable to find free check point." I hit enter and the PC appeared to load normally. There is plenty of free space for Rx snaps indicted on the Rx main window. Does anyone know what this means and what I should do about it? |

Just rebooted and the correct message was
"Failed to find free checkpoint" I am unable to create new snapshots. If I try to do a manual snap I get a message that the snap has been created but it does not appear in the snap history. |

BG, just looked at your attached screen snaps. I've never seen RollbackRX protect a CD (which is what your display is showing). It always points to one of your hard drives (i.e., C:, D:, etc.)
Might wanna look intot hat... |

Umm...I wondering if you've realized your error Froggie?
![]() It's not CD as in CDrom but rather Drive "C" and Drive "D". ![]() ![]() I'd be more inclined to advise an upgrade to latest version since the version displayed shows v8.1 But it would be nice to get a solution to this never before seen issue. It may be a bug that's been carried over to v9.1 but hasnt surfaced yet.

Me...?? Error...???
![]() Thanks, Carfal. Since I've NEVER protected more than 1-partition since the beginning, I've never seen a multi-partition display. I stand corrected. |

Hi Froggie, if you check the date of the OP it was way back in 2009.The solution to the problem as suggested by tech support was to uninstall and reinstall Rx. Doing so took care of the problem back in 2009 (when the OP was made) and I have not run into the problem again. Sorry for not thinking to post the solution here when it was originally provided to me. Last edited by bgoodman4; 08-29-2011 at 09:32 PM. |
