Default Another "Saved my bacon" announcement!

"I don't know what happened to the computer..."

When I heard those words from my wife last night, I knew that it meant trouble. Our main computer was attacked while my son was browsing online. My wife said that "...there were windows opening all over the place." This was a nasty little bugger, too. I could see from my Vista partition that this thing that invaded my computer was deleting data.

Fortunately, I have RBRX installed. I simply rebooted, hit the Home key, and loaded a snapshot from earlier in the day. Nobody lost any vital revisions of data going back to that snapshot. As far as my computer is concerned, it's virtually like nothing ever happened.

RBRX saved my bacon!

CheeseHead,

Just curious, what (if any) anti-malware/virus/annoyware did you have running at the time? -Why was not the annoyware blocked? Then again, perhaps the PC user "allowed" (or was tricked) into the situation.
