Greetings, Josey! What you describe I don't believe is a Windows glitch. During my trial of v9.1 (XPsp3Pro), this has happened to me 4-times, and each time I had to reBOOT Windows to get access to RbRx's control panel. In both the FAILURE and WORKING mode, the task SHIELD.EXE is called up accordingly... but in the failure mode the control window never appears, and from then on 'til reBOOT, SHIELD.EXE remains active and any additional attempt at SystemTray access produces nothing.
If anything, I would call this possibly a RbRX glitch. If you've heard anything through SUPPORT, pls post any applicable info... thanks. |

I have had multiple times when the console doesn't pop up when using the tray icon (I'm running Windows XP). So I'm sure this is a Rollback bug. When this happens to me I try to start the console by way of |Start|All Programs|Rollback Rx|Application Console". If I remember correctly the console (shield.exe) can be running but it still doesn't show up on my screen. So I have tried killing shield.exe and then restart it. If all this fails I reboot.
