It's very buggy and literally DESTROYED one OS of mine, had to restore an backup off acronis image, which i luckily had made. Dunno what they have done on it, obviously the people "coding" on it have little clue what they are doing. |

Rollback seems to work perfectly for me (but some improvements would be nice). I'd consider trying CTM again, but it caused enough problems before that I'd be scared to risk it. They were willing to leave a bad program out there a long time before admitting it was dangerous for too many people.

COMODO and CTM are both disasters. No one should consider using this program. It destroy's computers one after another. COMODO knows this and acts like they are working on "minor bugs". I would never install anything from this company. Trust me, pay for Rollback RX and you will get something that works. Install CTM and you will likely be faced with a computer that won't boot and all data lost.

To be honest, I have been using CTM 2.8 for a year before discovering and buying RBX. Didn't have any problems at all. However, for something as important as my whole drive, I'd rather use a supported software where the developer stands by the product rather than a freeware that the developer has an attention deficiency on. Comodo may have great plans for CTM 3, but they have lots more work to do to gain my trust and convince me that they are serious this time around.
In the meantime, I'll be waiting for the next RBX sale to buy a few more licenses.

Being simple and not creating any problems is this one:
Use Windows Icebox, then use Uninstallers (such as Ashampoo Uninstaller + (PLUS) Uninstall Manager to track all files). That is you freeze the programs when you don't install or uninstall, then you unfreeze them when you install or uninstall. Very good, robust, simple and don't create problems, right, not so advanced as Time Machines, though. BUT, you know, BUT it is simple, you unfreeze then you uninstall, you freeze, then it stays the same. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Good, is not it? I have CTM but not installed yet. I haven't bought EAZFix or Rollback though. I bought Ashampoo Uninstaller and Windows Icebox. Open - install uninstall - Close. That's it. |

What is really scary is the Comodo statement that "...we are making a drastic architecture change..."
![]() It appears form all that I have read on CTM that they could not handle the original architecture so what in Hades are they going to end up with if they make major structural changes? I will be sticking with v10 (as and when it comes)...and would recommend that any sane person wanting a rollback application does the same. |
