Default Shield Client Service not needed

I have been going for a while now with out the "Shield Client Service" running (shieldclnt.exe). As far as I can tell everything in Rollback works as it should. Am I correct in assuming this service is only needed if I were managing multiple Rollback computers on a network? Since I'm not running this service, on a stand alone computer, am I missing some feature that I'm not aware of?

Hi again Bite,

Another member had posted an issue with "Shield Client Service":
win7 x64 issues

I would go ahead and submit a ticket to support at http://support.horizondatasys.com and let's see if we can get an answer for you here as well.

Best,
Jacob

Well I don't really have a support problem. Rollback runs fine on my computer without shieldclnt.exe. I just want to make sure I wasn't missing something by not executing it.

Horizon folks should monitor this forum. They set it up for people to ask questions, so support the forum. Users on this forum should not have to ALSO summit a support ticket to get their questions answered.
